Kady Gelineau

Founder & Director:

Welcome to the Mozart Academy of Music. You should be commended for your interest in music study for your child. Quite simply: music changes lives. I know this from my own experience. As a child, my piano studies built my confidence, gave me a sense of pride and introduced me to the world of arts and culture.

Today I feel very lucky to have the opportunity to teach children music. To watch an insecure child blossom into a confident, joyful little boy or girl or to hear my littlest students discuss Beethoven, Brahms or Tchaikovsky is all in a day's work.

At the Mozart Academy of Music we all take tremendous pride in the importance of our work. With each lesson, we dream to inspire a lifelong appreciation of music; with each piece, we wish to build our students' self esteem and confidence; and with each note, we hope to have lots and lots of fun.

Thank you very much for visiting the Mozart Academy of Music, and remember: Music Changes Lives!

Very truly yours,

Kady Gelineau

Student/Parent Feedback:

"Gabrielle is great! My daughter, age 8, looks forward to her weekly lesson with Gabrielle. She engages her on a fun level at the same time encouraging her to work a little harder. I never hear a complaint regarding practicing or her lesson as it is enjoyable for her not a task." Jessica P.

"I am writing to tell you what a gem of a teacher Gabrielle is. We feel so lucky to have such a positive, upbeat and motivating teacher in our lives. It’s one thing to have music be your life’s passion but having the desire and ability to share it with others in such a warm and positive way, especially children, is another thing entirely. She always has a smile on her face and never lets the kids get too overwhelmed. Always encouraging, she inspires my girls to do their best but without being demanding. She’s more than a music teacher to us. She is truly a role model". ~ The Brosnahan Family

"Gabrielle has been the best. Taylor really enjoys learning from her.". The Ryans

Piano and Voice

Danit was born in Minnesota and came to Boston to attend Berklee College of Music. As a child Danit was too afraid to sing with the other children in their school concert. Little by little she became more encouraged with each performance. First agreeing to stand on stage with the other children, then moving her mouth but not making a sound and finally performing her own solo. Today Danit is a pianist, singer and song writer.

Student/Parent Feedback:

"We recently welcomed Danit as our new piano teacher. She comes weekly always with a welcoming smile and kind words, leaving my daughters feeling excited and content. It has been a pleasure to see how my daughters look forward to her lesson and her spirted conversations". Maria N.

"Danit has great strength in her ablitiy to understand the likes and dislikes for our daughter Nikita. She is creative, fun and most importantly she and Nikita have a wonderful relationship. This realationship has brought Nikita into the newest phase in her music. For it is becasue of Danits constant encouragment and structure that has allowed Nikita to feel comfortable and confident in her ablitiies". Parshavi P.

Accoustic and Electric Guitar

Grace is originally from La Plume, Pennsylvania. She then went on to study at Keystone College and the University of Maryland. Grace sung for pleasure all her life, and had done a little musical summer stock, but had always wanted to be able to accompany herself as well. Grace had some piano lessons, but somehow that didn't inspire her, but years later, she heard something that did. Guitar - played fingerstyle by an excellent musician. Grace was in love. The artist, who wasn't local, directed her to the man who became her teacher for the next ten years - nationally known fingerstyle artist, Geoff Bartley. Grace has been playing for 16 years, and has enjoyed teaching for 6. A funny story about Grace, her cat isn’t as impressed with the guitar. In fact, she’s very jealous of Grace’s guitar. When Grace sits down to play, her cat leaps from the floor and drapes herself over Grace’s shoulder, feet dangling down over the strings!

Student/Parent Feedback:

"A wonderful teacher whose love for the guitar and natural kindness combine to create a positive, fun experience for all!" Susan D.

"Grace is a nice teacher, she makes me feel good about my playing". Nicolaus D.
